There are no current plans to update Hawthorn.
Hawthorn provides browser-based chat that website
administrators can integrate into their site.
Users see an extremely simple chat room interface with no features except basic text chat. The interface is implemented entirely in JavaScript and does not require any plugins.
On the server side, Hawthorn runs as an independent server that can be integrated with your website via libraries for JSP and PHP developers. (Support in other languages is also possible.)
Hawthorn includes built-in support ('connectors') for some systems, initially only the Moodle open-source virtual learning environment. Hawthorn is open source (GPL3) and we welcome contribution of additional connectors.
